The Beginning of MLCS — A Story Sewn with Soul

Every brand has a beginning, but mine started with a feeling. A feeling of wanting to express femininity, freedom, and strength through every thread, every silhouette, every photograph. The first MLCS collection came to life in Spring/Summer 2018, shortly after I graduated from IED. I  living in Barcelona, surrounded by history, beauty, and that unmistakable Mediterranean spirit. My inspiration? Spain’s vibrant culture, the architecture and the timeless elegance of European women — bold, effortless, and free.

The collection was small, almost intimate. Just a few dresses and athletic-inspired pieces made for tennis and padel — sports I’ve always loved. As a woman who plays under the sun, I thought of every detail. I wanted to design something that felt beautiful and functional: pieces that allowed me to move freely, that protected my skin, and most importantly, that felt like me. Some sketches came from my notebooks. Others were born in moments of spontaneity. But what united them all was my hand — drawing, refining, dreaming.

I still draw almost every day. It’s how I breathe life into the vision of MLCS. I chose fine Italian fabrics and accessories — materials that carried both elegance and strength. And for the photoshoot, I stood in front of the lens myself. Not out of vanity, but because I wanted to feel the story I was telling. That first collection wasn’t just about clothes — it was about identity, authenticity, and the courage to begin. Looking back now, I realize that MLCS was never just a brand. From the very beginning, it was my voice. A love letter to the woman I was becoming — and to every woman who dares to be soft, strong, and unapologetically herself.
