MLCS is a Spanish slow fashion brand built around a simple belief: fashion should move with time without becoming a prisoner of trends.
At the heart of MLCS is a conscious approach to fashion. We believe that one of the most meaningful ways to reduce fashion’s impact on the environment is to create clothes that people do not want to throw away.
That is why we design with longevity in mind. We focus on distinctive silhouettes, thoughtful construction and carefully selected materials, giving preference to natural fabrics.
MLCS operates through its own production, allowing us to remain closely involved in the creation of every piece from the first idea and development of the silhouette to construction, fitting and the final garment. This gives us greater control over craftsmanship, quality and the details that define each design.
Our fabrics and accessories are carefully sourced from Italian manufacturers selected for their quality, craftsmanship and expertise. For us, the inside of a garment, its construction and the smallest finishing details matter just as much as what is immediately visible.
Alongside our standard sizing, MLCS also offers garments made to individual measurements. We believe that clothing should respect the individuality of the woman wearing it, rather than asking every woman to conform to a standardized shape. Through our made-to-measure service, selected MLCS designs can be individually created and adjusted to the client’s measurements while preserving the original character and proportions of the piece.

For us, slow fashion is not about standing still or ignoring change. It is about creating more thoughtfully. It means understanding what is happening in fashion while maintaining our own point of view. Name
The brand name is a creative fusion of the first letters of the founder Melissa Casanova’s first and last name, representing her personal touch. Originally, it was called "MELICASA", which stood for "Meli's house", symbolizing a space of creativity, warmth, and personal expression. This full name evoked a sense of comfort and style. However, as the brand evolved, we chose to streamline the name by focusing on the consonants, creating a modern and refined identity while still preserving the essence of its original meaning.

History
The idea of creating MLCS was born from a deep love for fashion, a passion for individuality, and authenticity. In 2018, we took the first step by launching a trial limited collection. MELICASA has gone through transformation — through change, growth, and rediscovery. There were farewells, challenges, and moments of truth… but each became a step toward evolution and authenticity. Each new collection it is a moment of awareness — a breath of freedom, lightness, and renewal.

We create garments with their own identity pieces that are not dependent on a particular season, year, or trend to make sense. An MLCS clothes should feel relevant when you buy it, remain relevant years later, and still feel authentic when you return to it again.
This is an essential part of the DNA of MLCS. We believe that when a garment has a strong identity of its own, it does not need fashion to return in order to become desirable again. It remains distinctive because it was never created as a reflection of a temporary trend in the first place.
This philosophy is also at the heart of our approach to slow fashion and our responsibility towards the environment.
The fashion industry produces an enormous amount of clothing every season, and too much of it is treated as temporary: bought because it is fashionable today, discarded when the season changes, and replaced by something new. Fabrics, materials, craftsmanship and resources should not become waste simply because a trend has passed.
We want to be part of a different relationship with fashion.
For us, sustainability is not only about what a garment is made from. It is also about how long that garment deserves to exist. Creating fewer pieces with a longer life, a recognizable identity and a reason to remain in someone’s wardrobe is fundamental to the way we think about fashion.
We want an MLCS clothes to become part of your personal history rather than part of a fashion cycle something you bought because you genuinely identified with it, something that continues to represent you, and something you never feel the need to discard simply because the world has moved on to another trend.
